Research Professional subscription renewed

The University has renewed its subscription to the online news and funding service provided by the publishers of the highly respected Research Fortnight.
Staff and students will continue to have access to sophisticated tools, including a comprehensive database of funding opportunities which currently contains over 7,000 open calls for funding with details of on how and when to apply and eligibility criteria.
Anyone on campus can freely access Research Professional without the need for a password. However, registering for a password will enable you to access Research Professional from home and make use of additional services.
You can:
- Personalise the service: for example, you can set up email alerts of funding opportunities or news in specific areas of interest;
- Share resources with other users: for example, a researcher in respiratory diseases can set up a list of leading funders in that area and share it with colleagues in their department.

The online version of 'Research Fortnight' can also be accessed from the site, as can its sister publication 'Research Europe'.
The Research Professional platform now incorporates a new service, HE, an analytic, intelligence service that covers policy and markets in all aspects of higher education. The 8am Playbook is a daily update on what is happening in the sector available from 8am most weekday mornings on the website or by email. It both highlights the important elements that have emerged from the monitoring and provides a first review of their significance.
