President wins ‘Inspiring Women’ award

Professor Nancy Rothwell wins the ‘Business’ category in recognition of her achievements.
The Inspiring Women Awards aim to recognise and celebrate the achievements of women in the North West. This is the 21st year the awards have taken place and an independent panel of judges chooses the winners.
As well as her role here at the University, the President is a non-executive Director of AstraZeneca, Deputy Lieutenant for Greater Manchester, a member of the Prime Minister’s Council for Science and Technology and the Greater Manchester Local Enterprise Partnership.
The awards are sponsored by Deloitte, Manchester Metropolitan University, Avanta, The Midland Hotel, ABode Hotels, Cheshire Life and Lancashire Life and BBC Radio Manchester.
