This Procedure for the Award of Posthumous and Aegrotat Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught Degrees outlines the process for awarding degrees to undergraduate or postgraduate students unable to complete their studies due to death or terminal illness.

Posthumous degrees are granted with family approval and if the student had completed over half the credits required for the award. 

Aegrotat degrees are offered to students whose illness prevents completion of their course.
