The University of Manchester is seeking to appoint a University External Examiner. This important and reconfigured role will support the University to reflect on quality and academic standards generally, including academic integrity and challenges related to degree outcomes across all taught programmes (UG & PGT).
The role holder will be required to contribute to the University’s regular review and analysis of student outcomes data, and associated policy and practice, providing an external perspective informed by significant senior experience of academic quality and standards within the HE sector.

Applicants should:
- meet the criteria required for the appointment of External Examiners as set out in paragraph 61 & 62 for the External Examiners Procedure, which can be found at: https://documents.manchester.ac.uk/display.aspx?DocID=13287
- have significant experience in the management of academic quality and standards, and / or relevant policy and strategy development and delivery, at either institutional or faculty (or equivalent) levels within at least one higher education institution.
Duration
