Flexible Working Arrangements

Flexible Working

Flexible working incorporates any working arrangements where the number of hours you work or the time or place that you work varies from the standard practice. The standard teaching week is Monday to Friday inclusive, with the first classes starting at 9am and the last classes finishing at 6pm.

Flexible Working Arrangements will usually be specified permanently in your contract of employment, but it is possible to agree to a trial period or in some circumstances to agree to a temporary change. Flexible working includes working part-time, working compressed-hours, annualised hours, or a phased-retirement agreement.

Existing Flexible Working Arrangements and Timetabling

Existing Flexible Working Arrangements will automatically be collated by P&OD so those staff do not need to do anything.

If you need to change your Flexible Working Arrangement or think you need to apply for one please see the link below to the P&OD website for more information.

If you think you need to apply for a Flexible Working Arrangement...

You can find all the information you need about applying for a Flexible Working Arrangement, and the Flexible Working Policy on People & OD's StaffNet pages.
