Recording lectures

The Equality Act specifically imposes an obligation on Higher Education Institutions to take reasonable steps to prevent disabled students being placed at a substantial disadvantage.

An example of such a step would be to allow disabled students to record lectures if necessary and the University also has a Policy on the Recording of Lectures which is linked to the Policy on Inclusive Teaching and Learning Materials.

The University's Podcasting website outlines how students can access podcasts, and further explains how the opt-out is overriden for disabled students
