There are three clusters available on the second floor. 2.88 has open access during opening times. Clusters 2.1 and 2.2 are bookable teaching clusters (via IT service desk on extension 65544).

Information about Printing and Copying (including how to report errors)

There is a common room with a kitchenette located off the first floor corridor and a smaller kitchenette off the HBS 1.69/1.70 teaching rooms.

These kitchen areas are the responsibility of the staff who use them. Please wash your own cups, plates, etc, and leave the kitchen as clean as you found it.

Waste and recycling bins have been provided close to all kitchen area and throughout the building - please use them.

The building is shared by SEED and SOSS. The broad layout of SEED areas is as follows:

Incoming mail

Incoming post is delivered to the staff pigeon holes in room 1.01. Research staff have pigeon holes labelled with the number of their shared office.

Outgoing mail

• From HBS – all staff should place in out trays in room 1.01. Business mail left sealed and addressed will be collected by the porters, to be sent out.
• Recorded and registered mail – attach instructions to the envelope and the porters will organize this service. For further guidance or for more complicated requests, visit the post room on the ground floor of Arthur Lewis building.
• Deltec Courier / Deltec International Courier Limited are the University's preferred supplier for courier deliveries. Be sure to arrange a quote with Deltec before contacting your local team requisitioner to request a Purchase Order. Tel 0161 945 4332 / email: Manchester@deltec-international.com

There are showers located in the first-floor ladies bathroom (1.72), in the disabled universal washroom in the basement and in the first-floor gents bathroom.

There are also several staff showers on ground floor Arthur Lewis building.

There are male, female and disabled toilets on the basement and first floor, along with baby change facilities.
