Booking rooms out of hours
Booking Ellen Wilkinson Rooms Out of Hours (after 6pm)
To book a Resource Booker room
- Contact Andy, andrzej.stawiarz@manchester.ac.uk, and Danny, Daniel.Bowers@manchester.ac.uk, with the date and time that you would like to book the room and the room number.
- They will arrange for porters to be present out of hours.
- You will be charged for porters' overtime as the building will need to be staffed.
To book a CTS room
- Contact CTS at CTS@manchester.ac.uk with the date and time that you would like to book the room and the room number.
- They will arrange for House Services or Campus Support and Security to be present out of hours.
- You will be charged for the use of porters out of hours or for Security, depending on which is used.

Ellen Wilkinson Commons
Ellen Wilkinson Commons is a bright and welcoming space on the ground floor of the building.

Kitchen and breakout areas
There is a kitchen located on each floor for staff use. In most kitchen areas you will find a fridge, boiler or kettle and a microwave oven.
These kitchen areas are the responsibility of the staff and students who use them. Please wash your own cups, plates, etc, and leave the kitchen as clean as you found it.
Waste and recycling bins have been provided close to all kitchen areas and throughout the building - please use them.
Post
Incoming post is delivered to reception point and is taken by the porters to specific offices. It is then distributed to pigeon holes by the PSS team. If an item is signed for on delivery, the porters will bring the item to your office.
Outgoing post:
- Standard business mail can be left sealed and addressed in out trays where provided or given to the Porters at the Building reception in Block C, ground floor.
- Deltec Courier / Deltec International Courier Limited are the University's preferred supplier for courier deliveries. Be sure to arrange a quote with Deltec before contacting your local team requisitioner to request a Purchase Order. To contact Deltec call 0161 945 4332 or email them at Manchester@deltec-international.com.

Showers
There is one shower located on the ground floor of B Block which is for use by members of staff.
Toilets
The toilets are located on various floors and blocks within the building. They are clearly signposted throughout the building.
There is a gender neutral toilet located on the 1st floor of A block next to the stairs.
