Check in with your teams about line manager information visibility in Microsoft 365

You can now view your own and other colleagues’ line manager information in MS365 applications, such as Teams and Outlook.
You can now view your own and other colleagues’ line manager information in MS365 applications, such as Teams and Outlook. Direct and indirect reports will also appear in MS365 applications.
Where colleagues hold multiple roles, the line manager displayed will normally be the primary line manager associated with their main role.
How do I see the information?
Line manager information will appear in MS365 apps by clicking on your own or a colleague’s profile picture, and then selecting the “Organisation” tab. (This does not apply to non-substantive colleagues, such as teaching assistants, casual staff etc.)
What will I be able to see?
- Instant visibility of reporting lines and teams
Quickly see a person’s manager chain, direct/indirect reports, and peers, so you can understand decision-making paths. - Great collaboration insights
The ‘Works with’ function means you can see people who are most relevant to someone, so you can, for example, identify additional relevant stakeholders before workshops. - Find people faster and see their profiles
Find colleagues by name or alias and see their profile card. - It’s right there, where you already work
Find it in Outlook and Teams, and across other Microsoft 365 applications.
Improving the visibility of line manager details will help ensure that the information shared remains accurate information and widely available.
What if the information looks wrong?
If you notice any incorrect details such as missing or out-of-date line manager information, please talk to your line manager so they can request the information be updated.
