Conference/Research Abroad funding available for self-funded postgraduate taught students

Funding is now available for self-funded PGT students interested in presenting at a conference or undertaking research abroad.
The Faculty Conference/Research Abroad fund aims to support self-funded postgraduate taught students to attend national or international academic conferences to disseminate their findings and/or undertake research abroad related to their dissertation topic. Please note that applications can be considered for physical and online conference presentations.
The competitive fund is available to Faculty of Humanities postgraduate taught students to present at conferences as the lead author of a paper or major contributors to a paper, presentation or poster.
Students can apply for financial support for up to a maximum of £150 per application.
To be considered, applications for the conference must be submitted before its start date. Additionally, the student must complete the reconciliation form within one month after the conference ends. The application should also include a statement of support from the School's Teaching & Learning Director or Programme Director.
The fund will be open from Monday, 20 October 2025 to Monday, 1 June 2026 or until depleted.
