Changes to People Partner support in SEED – A message from Martin Banks

The way in which People Team provides support within SEED is changing

Dear colleagues 

The People Directorate and People Partnering Team are evolving to ensure that we can support the University and all its colleagues, with a transition to a new model for how advice and support are provided from this month.  

In the short term, one of the results of this change is that I am moving to a new role (as Lead People Partner for the Cultural Institutions and PS Directorates) and Christina Collier is taking over as the People Partner for SEED from 1st October 2025. Christina will be moving from her current role as People Partner in the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health. 

The changes to the People Partnering team include increasing and developing Leader Advice support (formerly People Officers in other areas). This will be a valuable resource for process and policy advice and support and more about Leader Advice will be shared as the service establishes.  

The support that the People team provides to PS colleagues has also been redesigned as part of this process, with support for PS colleagues transitioning to a cross functional team. This team will provide support across all of PS and will be led by Bridget Griffin.

Christina, Bridget and I will work together over the next few weeks to ensure a smooth transition and continuation of People Partner support. I know you may have questions, so please do drop me a line if so.
