Deadline for SEED authorised signatory approval - Thursday 19 June, 12:00

The SEED School Office has set a deadline to ensure that requests are approved and sent on to be actioned within the current financial year (ending 31 July 2025).
Dear colleagues,
The SEED School Office has set a deadline of Thursday 19 June, 12pm for SEED authorised signatory approval, to ensure that the high volume of requests we expect are approved and sent on to be actioned within the current financial year (ending 31 July 2025).
This includes any:
- PR7 Non-Staff Fee/Expense Claims
- PR5 Staff Fee Claims
- Credit card Payment Request Forms
- One-Off Payment Forms
If possible, staff expense claims should be submitted via MyView and CAS4 Casual Timesheets submitted by email to SEEDSchoolOffice@manchester.ac.uk by Thursday 19 June as well.
Which budgets does this apply to:
- Budgets held in SEED only. You can check where a budget is held / the listed budget holder here: http://app.manchester.ac.uk/authsigs/default.aspx
- Most R-coded research budgets are not subject to this deadline, but have their own deadlines relating to the terms of their external funding. Please contact FHum.PostAward@manchester.ac.uk to confirm deadlines for specific R-coded budgets.
Process
Claims/forms should be submitted as electronic attachments, with copies of all relevant supporting documentation (for example, receipts should accompany a PR7 non-staff expense claim form), using this online form: https://forms.office.com/e/nsdr7KWFhF [forms.office.com]
- You may need to log into forms.office.com before this link will work. If it doesn’t work for you, try again using the “private” or “incognito” setting in your browser.
- Please ensure that the budget holder has signed the form, or attach a PDF printed copy of an email from the budget holder authorising the expenditure as part of your supporting documents. Incomplete submissions will be rejected, delaying payment.
- Louise Gorton is the budget holder for most SEED R-coded budgets. Her budget holder approval should be sought by emailing FHum.PostAward@manchester.ac.uk and then submitting evidence of her approval along with the other documents for authorised signatory approval as described above.

Late expenditure
The SEED School finance team will confirm in July the process relating to activities taking place on or before 31 July 2025 where the claim has missed the deadline above.
Unspent budgets for 24-25 cannot be rolled forward (apart from continuing R coded research accounts). If you have any queries then please contact the School Finance team seedandsossfinance@manchester.ac.uk.
