Training and development opportunities
The University of Manchester offers a range of training and development opportunities for researchers through both your faculty and the Staff Learning and Development team. This includes guidance, resources and opportunities to assist early career researchers and established research staff with their personal and professional development. Find out more about specific support for researchers in each of our three Faculties.
The Staff Learning and Development team also offers a variety of options relevant to promoting your research, ranging from delivering presentations, using social media, and building your own confidence and assertiveness. There is often a variety of options to access training either in person or directly your PC, phone or other mobile devices so you can learn at your own pace, where and when it’s most convenient for you. This includes LinkedIn Learning, powered by Microsoft, an online learning platform. Just search for the topic or issue that interests you.
