Pitch an article to The University of Manchester Magazine

Our magazine is an expression of the spirit of exploration, discovery and innovation that defines The University of Manchester.

The Magazine is all about our people and exists for staff, students and alumni to tell their stories, promoting the positive role and reach of the University as a place where research tackles the world’s biggest problems, students become global citizens and social responsibility is at the heart of all we do.

We hope that these stories will inspire internal and external stakeholders to make Manchester a partner in their ambitions. Our Magazine is a compelling showcase of the finest and brightest activity within the University. Above all, we want the Magazine to express what it is that makes Manchester different.

Target audience

Our audiences are key external stakeholders, such as national and regional policymakers, regional policymakers, research funders, international agencies and partners, media, alumni, donors and members of the business, education, health and culture sectors.

The print version of the Magazine is sent to a list of key and influential stakeholders in these areas, and is also available on campus for staff, students and visitors.

An online version of the Magazine is also produced to help people enjoy and interact with our stories.
