Want to make a contribution to research on perception?

Volunteers are sought for an experimental study investigating how the brain responds to distracting sensory information.

Participants will be invited to attend a single session lasting about 1hr 30 minutes (including breaks). You will be asked to perform tasks involving responding to non-painful vibrations and visual flashes. Your responses will be recorded using a foot pedal.

To participate you must be:

  • Right handed

  • Aged 18-40 years old

  • Have normal, or corrected to normal vision (glasses are ok)

  • Not have a diagnosis of a neurodevelopmental condition (for instance dyslexia, autism, ADHD)

    Research will take place in the Zochonis Building, University of Manchester. You will be financially compensated for your time
