Undergraduate students collect prizes for original and unpublished writing
To mark Black History Month in October, the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures invited undergraduate students to take part in a Flash Fiction or Non-fiction Competition, by submitting an original and unpublished piece of writing of less than 250 words.
The winners were announced at a ceremony on Wednesday 6 December, with prizes presented by Banji Adewumi, the university’s Director of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
Our judging panel was made up of Dr Henry Ajumeze, Dr Andy Boakye, Dr Clara Dawson and Dr Sheena Kalayil.
Together, they selected an overall winner in both the fiction and non-fiction categories, as well as second and third place prizes.
