The SEED Teaching Innovation Collective
A guiding principle for the School of Environment, Education and Development is making a positive difference to society. Teaching and learning are integral to this, and we are strengthened when we work together toward an inclusive, fair, and sustainable future.
The SEED Teaching Innovation Collective is intended to provide one means for colleagues to support each other in framing and taking forward innovations and good practice in teaching towards these ends. Social impact of any kind relies heavily on people joining together.
The focus of the SEED Teaching Innovation Collective (TIC) centres on providing opportunities for colleagues to support each other. Sessions are primarily intended for members of staff within the School (whether professional services/academic), but students are also welcome to attend. Colleagues from beyond SEED are welcome to get involved in the collective, particularly where there is scope to connect to teaching innovation within SEED.
SEED Teaching Innovation Padlet
An online noticeboard focused on teaching innovation for use by colleagues across the School, the SEED Teaching Innovation Padlet constitutes a core part of the collective, providing a virtual space to support interaction between colleagues around teaching innovation. Please add your ideas and questions around teaching innovation in the School.
The collective is currently facilitated by Professor Peter Kahn (based in MIE and working across the School) (Peter.Kahn@manchester.ac.uk) and Dr Bertie Dockerill (based in PPEM).
