Wellbeing and Support

This page is designed to support positive, proactive conversations with your students to maintain or improve their wellbeing. 

The model of student support at Manchester is structured in to a stepped model:

  1. Preventative wellbeing work
  2. Low-hurdle wellbeing interventions
  3. Structured psychological interventions
  4. Mental health interventions
  5. Rapid mental health crisis support

Steps 1 and 2 can usually be supported by all members of staff

From step three of the model onwards, it is likely that an appointment with one or more of the University's specialist services would be advised or facilitated (noting the referral requirements for DASS):
