Wellbeing and Support

This page is designed to support positive, proactive conversations with your students to maintain or improve their wellbeing.

The model of student support at Manchester is structured in to a stepped model:

  1. Preventative wellbeing work
  2. Low-hurdle wellbeing interventions
  3. Structured psychological interventions
  4. Mental health interventions
  5. Rapid mental health crisis support

Steps 1 and 2 can usually be supported by all members of staff, without a need to refer a student to one of our specialist services.
