Rachel Ashworth (School of Health Sciences) for Assessment and feedback

Rachel was nominated by her colleague, Rebecca White, for her work to improve assessment and feedback as Exams Officer for the BSc Psychology over several years, and how she is contributing to institutional and sector-level conversations through conference presentations and resource-sharing. The submission detailed how Rachel has overhauled the programmes external examiner team; played a key role in managing the response to a marking boycott; worked at school-level to create guidelines for assessment and progression; conducted an assessment mapping exercise and acted upon areas of improvement identified; introduced a new and evidence-backed marking strategy, and created consistent guidance for lab report assignments.
