Distinguished Achievement Awards: Teacher of the Year
In late September, the President and Vice-Chancellor invites each Faculty to nominate one individual to receive the Teacher of the Year award i.e. there will be a winner from each Faculty. This is one award amongst a number of Distinguished Achievement Awards across the University.
The nominee should be an individual whose teaching over the previous year has been outstanding. They must demonstrate an ability to communicate ideas effectively, motivate and stimulate students to learn, and show a commitment to innovation and excellence in education. The Awards and Honours Group meets in late April/early May and those who are successful are invited to a ceremony at the end of June/beginning of July.
