The University spends significant sums every year locally, nationally and internationally to support its teaching, research and ancillary activities. We recognise that what we spend and how we spend it has a notable impact both within the University and within the wider world.

The Central Procurement Office (CPO) assists colleagues to ensure that money is spent in line with the highest standards expected of those working for the University. We aspire to provide a first class service and aim to create an environment where excellent procurement practice supports the University’s teaching, research and social goals.

We do this by aligning our approach with the University’s Strategic Vision, and by ensuring that our processes and documentation are fit for purpose. Our aim is to maximise positive outcomes and results whilst minimising negative impacts and consequences across all areas of procurement.
