LGBTQ+ Leadership Programme

    • Open to: All LGBTQ+ colleagues (Academic and Professional Services) at all grades.  
    • Spaces available: 24

What's involved?

The programme comprises four courses – 2 half days and 2 full days:  

  1. Overcoming barriers to career development 
  2. Re-powering your personal & professional narrative from a queer perspective. 
  3. Becoming an LGBTQ+ person of influence 
  4. Elevating your queer voice  

All courses will be delivered by LGBTQ+ tutors, and we will create a space for you to be open and candid with each other about your career.  

Throughout the programme, you will also be encouraged to collaborate with each other, and to consider joining in with Pride in Leadership events in Manchester and online.

  • What are our motivations for progression? 
  • What are our personal barriers to turning well laid plans into action?  
  • How have each of our unique experiences as LGBTQ+ people impacted our self-belief, our desire to be seen more widely, our sense that we deserve success, our ability to stride out on our own, our instinct to challenge norms and look at things differently?
  • Recognise the potential benefits and opportunities that come with being a key person of influence.  
  • Develop a Personal Leadership Brand. 
  • Create an action plan.
