About us

Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) is at the heart of our University and our ambitions for 2035. 

The Directorate of EDI provides an advisory and consultancy service, supporting our University community to play their part in creating inclusive experiences for everyone who studies, works and engages with us. 

As a centre of excellence and expertise, we: 

• Partner and advise – working with EDI specialists and colleagues across the University to embed EDI into our core business, practice and delivery of our strategy. 

• Provide expertise and insight – taking a proactive, intentional, evidence-led and impact-driven approach, and supporting policies, processes and programmes that enable systemic change. 

• Connect people and knowledge – acting as a hub for EDI resources and communities of practice, strengthening connections and supporting shared learning and best practice. 

Everything we do supports the University’s strategy to 2035 and the Professional Services vision of service excellence, helping to make EDI a fundamental part of how we work.
