DASS can facilitate the provision of specialist disability equipment and software for staff.

If you need equipment or technology at work, then register with us or book a Quick Query appointment as soon as you can, as it can take some time to get the support that you need in place.

What equipment can I get?

You will have an assessment of support after registering with the Disability Advisory and Support Service.

Below are some examples of equipment that we can provide:

  • Digital recorders to help with note taking
  • Magnification software for blind and visually impaired users.
  • Screen reading software for blind and visually impaired users.
  • Read back software to help with reading text from a computer or proof reading work.
  • Mind mapping software to help with structuring work.
  • Speech recognition software to enter text by speaking where using a keyboard would present difficulties.
  • Ergonomic equipment such as specialist chairs, desks, mice, and keyboards.
  • Video magnifiers for blind and visually impaired users.
