Bring some mulled wine, hot chocolate and a mince pie – bonus brownie points for decorations and Xmas trees!
The next meeting of our University book club will take place on Friday, 11 December, 12.30 – 1.30pm.
As this falls in the festive period please do bring some mulled wine, hot chocolate and a mince pie – and there’s bonus brownie points for decorations and Xmas trees!
Initiated by Wellbeing Champion Dr Fiona Lynch, the book club is an opportunity to read something new or explore a genre you wouldn’t usually read.
As always we will begin with a recap on the previous book which was Sapiens – A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari.
Our next book is a series of short stories, The Book of Shanghai: A City in Short Fiction (Reading the City) which includes stories by Chen Qiufan, Cai Jun, Wang Anyi, Xiao Bai and six others.
