Professor David Schultz, School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Faculty of Science and Engineering
David was a previous winner of the TEA awards (2013/14) so to receive it again is further evidence of his commitment to developing excellence. David built on the successes of his MOOC "Our Earth: Its climate, History, and Processes" by developing innovative assessments that got students thinking about how the Earth worked as a complex system and enhanced their employability.
His submission clearly demonstrated his passion for continuous improvement and illustrated his dedication in ‘raising the profile of excellence’ through mentoring of peers and activities developed through his role as a school eLearning Champion. He also demonstrated motivation for ‘developing excellence’ in the examples in his submission which highlighted new approaches on programme design and delivery.
