Alison Harvey (School of Natural Sciences)

Alison’s Teaching Excellence Award submission detailed how she designed and extensively developed a taught unit on Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI), how this has been expanded beyond its original reach, and how the scholarly activity associated with this unit’s development has been more widely shared. Alison developed the taught unit on RRI originally for the Advanced Biomedical Materials CDT, during which she identified challenges and inspiring opportunities for teaching and learning. The quality of her teaching has been demonstrated through excellent student feedback. Her passion for developing RRI teaching approaches has led to several presentations and publications.
