My role

You are asked to encourage our students to take part in the Stellify programme and become a distinctive University of Manchester graduate.

Programme teams and course tutors can:

  • Introduce Stellify to new students in Welcome Week.
  • Remind students returning in all years of study.
  • Offer a Step Up and Lead Role to our students – find out how you can do this.
  • Promote Stellify activities such as Peer Support, volunteering, Ethical Grand Challenges etc to all students throughout the year.

Academic Advisors can:

  • Be an advocate for the principles of Stellify – find out more about the opportunities open to your students
  • Talk to your students about their Stellify activities. For example, ask your first years if they enjoyed the Sustainability Challenge; ask about extra-curricular activities and whether they are aware of the STELLIFY Award; check for awareness of relevant UCIL courses that might enhance development and career aims.
  • Offer a Step Up and Lead Role to our students – find out how you can do this.
  • Encourage students to visit the student website
