Campus Solutions documents
As a teaching assistant, you will need to use Campus Solutions, the student information system used at The University of Manchester, to record attendance at your tutorials and email students.
Emails and staff cards
GTAs are staff and as such are entitled to a staff card and a staff email account. You can only hold a staff OR a student card at one time, so you may need to keep changing your status. Once you have received your staff/library card from People & Organisational Development (P&OD - formerly HR), either complete the online registration form or contact P&OD at people-od.operations@manchester.ac.uk. Your staff email is valid for the duration of your contract. You may need to get back in touch with IT to reactivate your student account.
Printing
To use printers as a member of staff, you will need to get permission from IT. IT will be asked to add you to the relevant printers.
If you experience problems, please contact IT either through the Support Portal or by calling x 65544 from a School landline.
