Embedding the strategic plan

We hope these hints and tips will support leaders in embedding our new vision and strategic plan into their local area of the University. This is not an exhaustive list and you may have additional ideas.

For more information, visit the briefing note.

Sharing the vision and strategic plan

In the coming months, leaders may have opportunities to share and discuss the vision and strategic plan with their team. In particular, leaders may want to think about if there is anything that stands out as an area of interest for their team.

Your local activities

Leaders are encouraged to consider their team’s activities – they might want to look differently at processes or procedures to align closer to the direction of the strategic plan.

Email signatures

We have developed an email signature, leaders might want to use this and share it with their colleagues.

Our future presentation

We have developed a presentation on Our future that leaders may find helpful when speaking to their staff.

Posters

We have created posters that can be downloaded and displayed at desks or in offices.

Speaking externally

If leaders are speaking at an external event, they might want to use the resources available in the toolkit to help them promote the new vision and strategic plan.

Local internal communications teams

We are encouraging leaders to work with their local internal communications team so that you can support and promote the work they are doing.

P&DR objectives

To help ensure a golden thread between what our colleagues do on a daily basis, and the vision, leaders may want to suggest colleagues align their P&DR objectives with the priorities set out in the strategic plan.

Local intranets

To ensure all of our sites are up to date, please make sure your local intranets link to the new vision and strategic plan.
