Nominations are now open for the 2022 Teacher of the Year - Distinguished Achievement Award
This year nominations are open to all colleagues, the nomination form will need to be completed and returned to FSEteachingcollege@manchester.ac.uk by 21st January 2022. The nomination form will need to include;
- A Statement which identifies how the nominee meets the criteria (up to 700 words)
- A Citation which summarises the nominees achievements (up to 120 words)
- Two supporting statements from either relevant members of academic or PS/CIs’ staff, the nominee’s peers or students.
Criteria
The nominee should be an individual whose teaching over the past year (20-21 and semester one 21-22 can be included) has been outstanding. They should demonstrate an ability to communicate ideas effectively, be able to motivate and stimulate students to learn, whilst at the same time showing a commitment to innovation and excellence in education. You are also asked to reflect on how a prospective nominee’s contributions link to our core goals and themes in Our Future and also how they exemplify our six values. Of course our circumstances have continued to be affected by the pandemic so you may wish to highlight how your nominee has contributed in some way to the COVID-19 efforts or how they have managed to excel while facing extreme challenges arising from the pandemic.
