The session will include:
- Key news on our transition to Canvas
- What you need to do to prepare
- An opportunity to ask questions and share your feedback
Register to attend the open meeting.
This session is part of a series of open meetings taking place throughout the project. If you are unable to attend, a recording will be available on the Canvas SharePoint microsite.
Resources
- Humanities Adopting Canvas SharePoint site – your one-stop space for all things Canvas. Check the support site first to see if your query is covered.
- Example courses – explore how colleagues have developed their course units in collaboration with eLearning staff, incorporating the template and course unit standards. You’ll be able to self-enrol on these standalone units.
- Focus on Digital Learning Week recordings – if you missed these sessions, or would like a refresh, many of the session recordings are now available to watch.
Support and consultations
- Canvas drop-ins – from Monday, 16 June to Thursday, 3 July, the Humanities eLearning team will be running a series of general online drop-ins to address any Canvas queries.
- Bookable Canvas consultation slots – each School is offering bookable Canvas online consultation slots for up to four colleagues who wish to explore the same aspect of Canvas. Book a consultation: SALC, SEED, AMBS, SoSS
- Larger Canvas group sessions – for groups of more than four colleagues who wish to explore the same aspect of Canvas, submit a ticket in Connect to arrange a one-hour consultation session with a member of the eLearning team.
Training
- Scheduled Canvas Go! Training sessions – attend these training sessions to find out more about building and structuring your course, assessing student learning and building a learning community. An online version of the training will be available shortly.
- Department-specific Canvas training sessions – the eLearning team are liaising with Schools and departments to offer 1.5-hour Canvas workshops between 16 June and 18 July. Keep an eye out for local communications about the training.
