Specialist Development

We have three specialist development courses available to staff at the University

StellarHE

The aim of StellarHE is to enhance and extend the leadership skills of BAME Academic and Professional staff in order to address the under-representation of BAME leaders in senior positions; and to subsequently increase the diversity of talent at executive level across the HE Sector to better reflect the diverse student population. It has been designed specifically to equip participants with leadership competencies and strategies that reflect the unique challenges and experiences of BAME staff across the HE sector.

AURORA

Aurora is our women-only leadership development programme. It is a unique partnership initiative bringing together leadership experts and higher education institutions to take positive action to address the under-representation of women in leadership positions in the sector.

Achieving Your Potential

Achieving Your Potential is an externally led six-day development programme for members of University staff, at all levels, with a disability. The programme is specifically designed for disabled staff and delivered by people with impairments from Result CIC.
