Policies and guidance
The University of Manchester is committed to an environment that values and celebrates the diverse nature of its population, which is key to Our Future: the Vision and strategic plan to take us into our third century.
As of October 2022 we now have our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy. Our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Strategy takes a holistic and intersectional approach, extending beyond our statutory obligations, so that we become a truly inclusive organisation where EDI is embedded in all that we do and who we are.
Our aim is to create an outstandingly inclusive place to work and study, characterised by equality, how we value diversity and where all have a sense of belonging. This is essential if we are to successfully deliver the ‘Our people, our values’ theme lying at the heart of Our future.
We take positive steps to achieve equality in the workplace and are committed to both meeting and exceeding our obligations under equality legislation.
This section provides information about relevant equality related University policies and guidance. In addition, we will adhere to all legislation as dictated by law.
