Success for ScienceX at CIPR Awards

Faculty of Science and Engineering's flagship off-campus public engagement event wins silver

The Social Responsibility Team in the Faculty of Science and Engineering won Silver at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations North West PRide Awards for their annual public engagement event, ScienceX.

ScienceX is a free pop-up science and engineering festival at intu Trafford Centre. The family-friendly event aims to showcase our exciting science and engineering to local communities, and engage with people who wouldn’t usually attend a science festival. 

This year’s event was the biggest yet, with 17 fun and interactive activities delivered by more than 150 volunteers – reaching thousands of people.

ScienceX 2019 will be taking place at intu Trafford Centre on 9-10 March.
