Singing really can make you feel in a brighter mood....

Mental Health and Wellbeing
Research indicates that group singing improves mental health and reduces stress. Participants who take part in a community singing program report improved mental wellbeing and reduced symptoms of depression and anxiety. (Clift & Morrison, 2011).

Social Connection
Group singing significantly enhances feelings of social bonding and reduces loneliness. Research shows singing in groups promotes faster social connection than other forms of group activities (Pearce et al, 2015)

Skill Development and Engagement
Participating in a choir provides opportunities for colleagues to develop musical skills, performance confidence, and personal confidence also.

Hire the Choir

Planning a University event? Campus Chorus would love to be part of it! Whether you’re bringing colleagues together for a festive work party, conference, away day or another occasion, our choir can add a warm, musical welcome. Teams across the University can hire us on Wednesdays between 13:00 and 14:00. We simply ask for a donation to help keep the choir going from year to year, so we can carry on making music together.
