Show a colleague your appreciation by sending an eCard
Taking a moment to recognise a colleague for something they’ve done well can make a real difference and this month, it could also win you a £10 Unicafé voucher.
Send an eCard before Saturday, 31 October and you’ll automatically be entered into a prize draw. You could even use the voucher to grab a coffee with the person you recognised, turning a quick thank you into a chance to catch up in person.
Following the most recent Your Voice Matters survey, recognition is one of the Faculty’s three key areas of focus. Using eCards is one simple way we can all help build a stronger culture of recognition by saying thank you, celebrating great work or letting someone know their contribution has been noticed. Whether it’s a colleague who has gone the extra mile to help you, someone who has delivered a brilliant piece of work or a team member who is always there when you need them, sending an eCard takes just a couple of minutes.
Speaking of the scheme, Pia Pollock, Planning Officer in the Faculty’s Planning, Compliance and Special Projects team, said:
“I think recognition is really important, both giving it and receiving it. It’s easy to move straight on to the next task without stopping to acknowledge when someone has done a great job, so taking a moment to send an eCard is a simple way of showing that their contribution has been noticed. Receiving one yourself is a lovely boost too – it reminds you that the work you’re doing is valued and appreciated.”
