Data Requests

If you have a request for specific data from the Learning & Organisational Development team, please complete the form below and a member of the team will be in touch.

We will aim to deal with data requests within 10 working days.

Please note some data is also available in Faculties/Directorates or Schools; please contact local sources first before making your request.

We can provide anonymised, aggregated data relating to staff group or Faculty/Area but are unable to provide identifiable data with specific staff names.

If you are a manager needing to check the training records of your team, please ask them to provide you with this directly. We are unable to provide team training records through this process.

How to access your own training records

On the Training Catalogue, you are able to view a record of all the training you have undertaken since the beginning of your employment at the University. You can access this by navigating to the My Training and Development area of the Training Catalogue. Here you’ll be able to see a list of all the courses you have attended and the training you have completed; this includes training provided by the University, as well as that delivered by external training providers.

How to export your training record

The Training Catalogue allows you to export your training record to a Spreadsheet. To do this, click the ‘Export to Spreadsheet’ button located below the list of your training. An Excel spreadsheet (in the file format .xls) will then download to your device. NOTE: You are also able to export a spreadsheet of your External Training record, however this will be exported as a separate document.

Limitations and considerations of L&OD data

While every effort is made to ensure the reliability and accuracy of L&OD attendance data provided, there are several limitations and considerations to be noted:

  1. Where aggregated data results relate to less than 10 individuals, we will not be able to provide this due to it potentially being able to identify individuals. This breakdown would be omitted from any report provided.
  2. Attendance information is only reported for staff who are currently employed by the University. It does not include the programmes completed for any staff who have since left the University. Therefore, actual numbers who completed the programmes were higher than figures provided. Equally this means that if you request the same data on two separate occasions, you can expect that the figures will not be exact as some staff who completed the training may have left the University.
  3. Staff information (Faculty/division, role type, protected characteristics) is sourced from a live link P&OD staff records in Resource Link. The data we provide will show the employee’s current role or department, which may be different from when they completed the learning activity in their training record.
