PTES Promotional Advice & Materials
The Student Communications and Marketing Team will run a comprehensive campaign across University-wide channels including:
- The weekly My Manchester News bulletin
- Screensavers in centrally managed PC clusters
- The My Manchester student portal
However, to help push up response rates wherever possible these should be complemented by School and course level communications. We would like to improve on 2018's final response rate of 26%, and staff who have regular contact with students are vital in helping achieve this.
Good Practice
Many of the same considerations that apply to promoting the NSS also apply to the PTES, and the promoting the NSS section section has lots of useful general advice. Specific promotional materials for the PTES can be found below - please contact studentnews@manchester.ac.uk with any queries about materials.
Promotional Materials
Posters and postcards will be distributed to Schools in the week ahead of the survey launch.
Posters
Posters should be displayed in areas that have high student footfall such as in computer clusters or cafes located in your building. If you have specific social or study areas for PGT students, these are also ideal. We only receive a limited number of posters, please email studentnews@manchester.ac.uk if you require more or you can be download them below for printing if you require more.
Postcards
Postcards are least effective when just left in these areas to be picked up. If possible they should be handed as part of a conversation about completing PTES – during a course meeting, lecture or seminar are ideal times.
Downloadable materials
You can download a promotional bundle, for use in your own School, department or area. The file includes digital signage, poster and email footer.
