Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF)
The University of Manchester was awarded a Silver in the first year of the Teaching Excellence Framework awards in 2017. The Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) was introduced by the government in 2016 to recognise and reward excellent teaching and learning in UK higher education.

Within the University, the TEF process is led by Professor April McMahon (Vice President, Teaching, Learning and Students) and supported by the Division of Teaching, Learning and Student Development (TLSD).
