Certificates and Transcripts

As the awarding body and being assisted by the partner institution, the University is responsible for ensuring that certificates are accurate and that they are only issued to those who have satisfied the assessment and examination requirements for the award. 
 
The University will issue the certificates but it is normally the responsibility of the partner institution to issue the transcripts unless otherwise agreed on.  The University will offer guidance on the information required in a transcript of results through the TLD.
 
With regards to validated programmes, both the certificate and the transcript must record the name of the partner institution and the language of instruction and/or assessment if this is not English. 
 
The University will need to be assured that the printing of transcripts will be secure and access will be limited to designated individuals. 
 
It is the responsibility of the partner institution to maintain records of who has been issued with a transcript and to make appropriate enquiries in the event of a request for a duplicate.
