Confidentiality and anonymity
The Staff Survey 2019 is managed by external consultants, Capita. The resulting data provided to the University is anonymous and amalgamated for reporting purposes. If fewer than ten people in a team complete the survey, reports will not be provided; the results will be incorporated into a higher level report.
At no point during the survey period is anyone at the University able to view individual responses.
Protected characteristics
The survey includes questions relating to equality, diversity and inclusion. Responses to these questions cannot be linked to the individual. Individuals are not obliged to disclose this information, but by doing so, it can help us to identify any problems or barriers faced by groups of employees at the University.
Pre-populated information
To ensure that staff responses correlate to the correct area of the University (and any action plans can be tailored accordingly), Capita have used existing data to pre-populate the respondent’s area of work. This does not mean that respondents can be identified by their responses.
Response Rates
The Staff Survey 2019 began on Monday, 4 March and will run until Monday, 3 April 2019.
