What has changed?

From June 2021, a new organisational structure was implemented across the areas of student marketing and recruitment and applications and admissions. This was supported by a programme of training activity for impacted PS and academic colleagues.

The student marketing and recruitment and applications and admissions changes were designed to align with one another, to enable a strong partnership between PS colleagues in central Directorates, Faculties and Schools and our academic colleagues.

Staff are now able to work more closely together as a single team in consistent roles and structures across the institution, using new, consistent process and technology and acquiring new skills.

All roles within the new structures are permanent.

Student marketing and recruitment

The new structure for student marketing and recruitment aligns marketing and recruitment teams across the three tiers of the organisation, providing a structured marketing and data-led approach for the University. There are some savings in management and co-ordination roles and increased investment in data marketing roles, to enable a system structure and data capture that can be used for market insight and recruitment modelling.

Applications and admissions

The new structure for applications and admissions seeks to realise the benefits of the newly developed process and technology to deliver a more streamlined and consistent approach to admissions activity across the organisation. Strengthening the relationship between the three tiers of the organisation, teams sit in central Directorates and Faculties, and resource can be deployed flexibly across Schools according to requirements.
