HR Green Impact
The Directorate of Human Resources is committed to the University's Sustainability agenda and has various targets across all of our buildings. We have established a Making a Difference (MAD) Team with representation from across the Directorate.
Green Teams are set up in the following locations: Simon Building, John Owens Building, Renold Building, Samuel Alexander Building, Carys Bannister Building and the Sackville Street Building.
Each team is responsible to ensure the Directorate meets a number of targets in respect of sustainability, good environmental practice and also contributes to our Social Responsibility targets. Team members are: Michelle Bebbington (Chair of MAD Group), Paul Marks-Jones (interim and stand in Chair), Martin Banks, Joanne Davidosn, Steve Griffin, Piotr Ksiazczyk, Sarah Lindop, Maggie Martin, Anne O'Neill, Michèle Owen and Daniel Taylor.
This last year saw the biggest participation in the NUS-led Green Impact Scheme at the University to date. Colleagues from across the Directorate have taken part in a number of initiatives over the past 12 months including recycling schemes, fundraising, Give and Gain days and energy awareness campaigns. The scheme helps us to look at how we can approach environmental challenges in an engaging and enjoyable way to reduce our waste, save energy and improve our general environment.
