Embedding the strategic plan

We recognise that the strategic plan and vision will mean different things to different people. We hope these hints and tips will support you in promoting and embedding our new vision and strategic plan into your area of the University.

Sharing the vision and strategic plan

In the coming months, you may have opportunities to share and discuss the vision and strategic plan with your team. In particular, is there anything that stands out as an area of interest for your team?

Your local activities

Consider your team’s activities – you might want to look differently at any processes or procedures to align closer to the direction of the strategic plan. Do your colleagues require additional training? Do web pages need to be revised? Is there anything you can simplify or stop doing?

Email signatures

We have developed an email signature, you might want to use this and share it with your colleagues. Check out the visual identity section of the toolkit.

Our future presentation

We have developed a presentation on Our future that you may find helpful when speaking to your staff.

Posters

We have created posters that can be downloaded and displayed at desks or in offices.

Speaking externally

If you are speaking at an external event, you might want to use the resources available in the toolkit to help you promote the new vision and strategic plan.

Local internal communications teams

Work with your local internal communications team so that they can support and promote the work you are doing.

P&DR objectives

To help ensure a golden thread between what our colleagues do on a daily basis, and the vision, you may want to suggest colleagues align their P&DR objectives with the priorities set out in the strategic plan.

Finding out more

To find out more about a particular goal or theme you can contact each theme lead directly. There will also be further opportunities to feedback into the development of theme plans online over the coming months.
