Our first Estates and Facilities inaugural awards ceremony held

03 May 2023

The first Estates and Facilities Outstanding Contribution Awards took place in Whitworth Hall on 25 April 2023

Estates and Facilities Outstanding Contribution Awards

The awards recognised both individuals and teams who had been nominated by colleagues within the Directorate for their work above and beyond expectation.

The awards were hosted by Head of Environmental Sustainability, Richard Smith, and the awards were presented by Steve Jordan, Diana Hampson, Alison Shedlock and Jon Ashley.

Director of Estates and Facilities Diana Hampson said: “It has been wonderful to hold the very first Estates and Facilities Outstanding Contribution Awards, which were developed to celebrate our people, who we recognise go above and beyond, not just once, but day after day to help support a world-class University. The last few years have been unprecedented and at times, difficult but in the face of challenges we have seen teams collaborate, individuals find new ways of working and as always, we innovate and move forward.

"We were inundated with applications for the awards and that is testament to all of our teams within Estates and Facilities, who do incredible work day in and day out.  Once again, I thank all of our teams for their hard work and congratulate the winners and nominees.”
