Hundreds of students and staff benefit from new 24/7 mental wellbeing platform

24 Jan 2020

Big White Wall complements our existing support services for students and staff

Big White Wall

Big White Wall, which is is part of our Student Experience Programme, offers peer to peer support, self-guided courses and personal assessments to support those living with depression, anxiety and other mental health conditions, and those interested in exploring resources to support their wellbeing. It is monitored 24/7 by trained counsellors.

Simon Merrywest, Student Experience Programme Director, said: “We are really pleased that so many students and staff have been able to access help and support through our new mental wellbeing platform in the short time it has been available.

"The 24/7 availability of Big White Wall, coupled with the fact that all users remain anonymous, will appeal to those who have been reluctant or unable to engage with our face-to-face support services in the past.

"I would like to thank everyone that has helped to promote the service so far and would encourage colleagues to continue to sign-post Big White Wall and our other University support services to students”.
