There is now a dedicated area where staff can find more information about the IT Modernisation programme here at The University of Manchester
The University is continuing to invest in modernising and improving IT to ensure the best outcomes for staff and students. This programme of modernisation will see various new technologies made available and an overall enhanced IT experience for all users. In fact some improvements have already have been made which include enhancements to the way staff and students access IT help online. The new online Support Portal was launched earlier this year and we are continuing to make this better and provide an enriched user experience. We have also made progress with plans to upgrade our Network which will allow for better connectivity for staff and students across campus.
There is a short introduction video which tells you more about the programme. There is also a news section as well as further details of the specific improvements being made in three core areas: People, Operations and Technology.
There will be opportunities for staff to find out more in the coming months through a series of roadshows, workshops and focus groups. These will be promoted accordingly, however in the meantime if you would like to find out more email the programme:
