Join us for the opening of a new exhibition at the Whitworth

Please join us for the opening of the exhibition 'Beyond Faith: Muslim Women Artists Today' at the Whitworth, on Thursday 13 June from 5pm until 7pm.

The exhibition, which runs until 10 November 2019, will showcase the work of five Muslim women artists: Usarae Gul, Fatimah Fagihassan, Aida Foroutan, Shabana Baig and Robina Akhter Ullah.

It is the culmination of a research project led by Dr Saskia Warren, Senior Lecturer in Geography, which explores the roles and experiences of Muslim women in the UK cultural and creative industries. The project is generously supported by the Arts and Humanities Research Council. 

Soft drinks and canapes (halal and vegetarian) will be served.
