Become a trustee of the University of Manchester Superannuation Scheme (UMSS)

22 May 2019

We are recruiting a new member for the UMSS trustee board, nominated by members (generally referred to as a member nominated director or MND)

Could this be you?

Becoming an MND is one of the most important contributions you can make to the management of the Scheme. It is also a really rewarding experience – one that we will support you through from the start.

Who can apply?

The vacancy is open to anyone who is currently making contributions into UMSS,  known as active members.

How do you apply?

You can nominate yourself by completing and returning the MND Nomination Form which was enclosed with Pensions News, which was sent to you recently in the post. The form asks for a proposer and a seconder to support your nomination, both of whom must also be active members of UMSS.  There is also space for a short biography, where you can outline why you are interested in becoming an MND for UMSS.

You can find further information on the role of an MND and the selection process on the UMSS website.

If you have any questions about the role of trustee or how to apply, you need a Nomination Form, or you would like to meet one of the existing trustees to find out more about the role, please contact the Pensions Office on 0161 275 2043.
